January 19 and 20th

Elise,
You had a great weekend. You had lots of fun.
On Saturday morning you woke up, and wanted to watch cartoons. That was the first word out of your mouth. Later in the day and for the rest of the day, you would grab me by the hand and say, "play," because you wanted me to come play with you. You would also grab my hand and say, "with me." You wanted me to come with you. So we did that.
We also went and had lunch with dad at work. After lunch, we went and got some groceries, and you got a play food set. You think it is great fun.
In the evening, we went to Blackfoot. We ate at Rupe's and you and daddy played the car video game. You two had a blast!
Then we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Ducks. All of your cousins were there. You enjoyed playing with them. You also really enjoyed playing with their kitty, Frosty. You would go around the house saying "Fosty," looking for the kitty. The kitty even bit you and scratched you and you just laughed.
The next day we went to mom's cousin (Devin Larsen's) homecoming. You got to see Grandma and Grandpa Wallace and Aunt Charkee. We went over to Dawn's house for a luncheon for Devin and they had a puppy named Lucy. You loved her. You would chase her around the house saying "Lucy, Lucy." It was so cute. Dawn also gave you some treats to feed the puppy and you thought that was so fun.

Elise,

Today your cousin Andon came over to play with you. You thought it was great and you brought him almost every toy you had and let him play with it. You were such a good sharer.

Then later in the evening, we went to Pocatello Pizza to celebrate your cousin, Makenzie's birthday. You had a blast! Grandpa Duck showed you how to work the candy machine game and you probably had about 10-12 pieces of candy! Needless to say, you didn't want to go home.

January 19, 2008

Elise,

Tonight Grandma and Grandpa Wallace and Aunt Charkee came to visit you. They also took you to your very first movie, "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium." You weren't too interested in it, but you were good and didn't cry at the movie. You sure enjoyed the popcorn and candy though.

You also put on Grandma's socks that night.

After the movie, we all went out for a hamburger. Grandma promised you one if you put your shoe on. :]

Elise,

You were at daycare most of the day today, but your teachers said that you were having tons of fun.

When I brought you home, you were determined to put your pants on all by yourself!

You tried for 20 minutes before you asked for help. Keep trying, and you will get there!
and a little side note: mommy made pancakes without burning them for once! :]

January 15, 2008: Story

Elise,
Mommy has been sick (down with a cold) the past few days, and so I haven't been able to take pictures. But here is a story:
Tonight daddy and I put you to bed.
After you were all tucked in and your door was closed, we heard you talking to yourself. We said night, night to you again, through the door, and said, "love you," and you shouted back, "love you." So adorable. We love you soooooooooo much little Lil.

January 12, 2008

Elise,

Today was an exciting day. You went potty for the very first time! You went twice today. Congratulations! I'm so proud of you.

Funny Story: When you were on the potty, you farted. You said, "fart," and then you said, "excuse me." It was soooooooooo cute.

Later in the afternoon you got your toy truck out and you tried to ride it. That didn't go over so well, but hey it's always fun to try.

Then later in the day, we went and ate lunch with dad at work. Then we went shopping. You had to tell everyone hi, and if they didn't respond, you said it louder and louder, until they would tell you hi. Pretty cute.

Then we ate dinner. You had fries and a burger. You decided that you wanted to dip your hamburger in the fry sauce. You loved it. Then you decided to dip your finger in the fry sauce and lick it. You loved that too. Then dad suggested that I should give you spoon. Humoring your father, I did. And you ate the frysauce with it, and you didn't even make a face. You thought it tasted great!

Love you Little Lil!

January 9th, 10th, and 11th 2008

Elise,

Two days ago,

You got to spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa Duck. I heard that you got to go to McDonald's with them. I also heard that Grandpa Duck was shooting you and Grandma in the butt with a fake gun and you thought it was funny. Grandma and Grandpa Duck also bought you a Dora hat and gloves and a mouse toy also. It sounded like you had lots of fun. Also, you got your firstcut (well okay, it was just your bangs). But, you did pretty good. You were a little wiggly, but other than that, you were great. Then we went to McDonalds (again) with Grandma and Grandpa Wallace and Aunt Charkee. You of course, only wanted the french fries with fry sauce. You are so cute. Then later that evening, you and dad looked at daddy's fossil collections. You love to look at fossils with him. You will say fishies when you want to look and also bites, for trilobites.

You also found a color page and decided to shake it around. You were having lots of fun with that.

The next morning, I asked you wanted you wanted for breakfast, and you replied, "a burger". Must have been all those burgers from McDonalds the day before. :] You also said a new word today. You said, "DVD." So precious.

Tonight--January 11, 2008 we went and got family photos taken. They did them at the Best Western Hotel and while we were waiting for our turn, you kept running back and forth down a long hallway and when you came to the stairs you would stop and then act like you were going to run down them. I stopped you a few times, but then I decided to just let you go. And to my surprise you knew how to climb down them (standing, not crawling.) I was so proud of you. You were a good girl for the pictures. You kept sticking your tongue out at the photographer though. It was pretty funny.

January 6, 2008

Elise,

Today was an exciting day.

You said a new word,---dvd. The picture of you on the couch is you watching daddy's dinosaur videos that you want to watch every day, all day. :]

You left your hair in a ponytail for the first time ever. You used to always just pull it out.

You got to go for a wagon ride.

You and daddy jumped on the couch

and daddy put your skirt on you upside down. What a crazy dad!

And the following is a fake story written by your very, very strange father!

During the wagon ride, you seemed moderatley amused. But as you roade along, you seemed to enjoy it more. Eventually, your boogies froze. Yes, your boogies. They frooze. Really. Anyway, back to the ride. After a while you began to dance in the wagon from joy. You danced and danced. Soon you began to jump out of the wagon, higher and higher. On one big jump you actually jumped onto the roof of a neighboring house. As you fell through the roof you realized that the home belonged to your evil arch-enemy, the baby with six toes and one really big eyebrow over both eyes. This babies name is Septabrow. Upon your arrival Septabrow shot flames from his diaper as a warning, but your ice boogies (bet you wondered why I mentioned them) shot out of your nose with such force as to pierce septabrows clothes and pin him against the living room wall. Once this happened Septabrow shot flames from his diaper again and shot up into the air like a rocket, where he abruptly collided with a weasel that was also having problems with fiery indigestion. Upon this collision they both exploded in a cloud of methane and green smoke. I could almost swear I heard the weasel cackle "Oh, what a world, what a world...". Upon your retrieval we finished the wagon ride, and you promptly napped happily while green smoke drifted away on the wind.

January 5, 2008

Elise,

You had a great day today.

You woke up and wanted to watch daddy's dinosaur videos---so we did that.

Then you helped me wash the dishes. You thought that was great fun.

Then me and you colored a picture together.

Then me and you went and played on the bed and you started kicking your legs in the air and saying, "kick, kick," and so then I copied you and you thought it was so funny.

And tonight we had KFC for dinner. You came with me to pick it up. We went inside to order and you thought we were going to eat inside, you went over to a highchair and said chair, and when our food was ready and we left, you were upset. You thought you weren't getting any dinner. But, we took it home and ate it. You really enjoyed it. You ate almost all of it too.

Beginning Potty Training

Elise,

The other day I took you to Walmart and we picked you out a potty seat.

I got you an Elmo one because you adore Elmo.

It was so cute I handed it to you, and you hugged it.

When mom had to give it to the cashier, you were mad.

And then when I brought it home and put it on the potty, and asked if you wanted to sit on it, you didn't like it anymore.

I tried to see if you wanted to sit on it a different day, but you didn't. Instead, you took the potty seat off of the potty, and put your face in it, and put it on your head. Such a silly girl!

Elise Video

Elise,
This is the video of you dancing to "I'm a Barbie Girl".

Second Christmas Continued

Elise Second Christmas

Elise,

Your Christmas was really fun this year.

Mommy was so excited for you to see what Santa brought you and to open your presents. I woke up every hour just to see what time it was. At 6:00 a.m., I woke you up.

Daddy said, look what Santa brought you. On the couch, was a huge stuffed Elmo, a doll, and a play kitchen, along with a color book and crayons. You looked at all the stuff for a minute before you went up to it to check it out. Your favorite thing that Santa brought you was the 50 Cent color book. You didn't even want to open presents because you wanted to color in it. When we finally convinced you to open a present, you really got into it. You started opening every present you saw, even if it wasn't yours. It was sooooooooooooooooo cute. You didn't really understand why you were receiving all these gifts though.

After Santa Gifts, and Opening presents, we went to Blackfoot to spend time with Grandma and Grandpas. Grandma and Grandpa Wallace gave a you a toy box and many other things. Aunt Char Char gave you a red wagon, lots of books, and many other things as well. We had dinner together with them.

Then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Ducks. At there house, Santa left a present for you. He left you a rocking horse. You didn't like the horst at first, until your dad showed you how to rock on it, and now you absolutley love it!

Grandma and Grandpa Duck gave you a bear that lights up in the dark, and an animal puzzle that makes sounds.
We also saw Great Grandpa Jack Fisher, and his wife, Alice. They gave you a crocheted hat for the winter.

We also saw Great Grandma and Grandpa Christenson as well. They gave you a stuffed tigger and some heart bracelets. You were sure having fun with those bracelets at their house--putting them on daddy and mommy's ears, and sticking them on Tigger's tail. You still love playing with them.

Grandma Duck also gave you a doll that when you push the button, sings I'm a party girl. There is a short video of you dancing to the song in our bathroom while you are watching daddy shave his head. It is soooo cute!
You also received a late Christmas present from a friend of mommy's (which I think was your favorite thing). It was a doll that crys like a real baby, giggles like one, and breathes like one. You played with it for quite a while and enjoyed feeding her bottle to her.

Second Time Meeting Santa

Elise,

Grandma took you to Walmart one day and Santa was there. She sat you on his lap and boy were you scared. I think this picture says it all. :]

2nd Halloween

Elise,

For your second Halloween, you were a giraffe. Mommy and daddy dressed up as well, we were just some strange looking people. We went to Blackfoot and went trick or treating to Grandma and Grandpa Duck at the Fire Station, Great Grandma and Grandpa Christenson, and then we went to the Willows where Grandma Julie works and trick or treated there. You weren't quite sure what to think of the Halloween. I don't think you understood what it is all about, but next year, I'm sure you will! :] After a while, you got tired, so we came back home and put you to bed.

Daddy and Your Hair

Elise,

Your daddy loves to do your hair. He loves to make it all crazy.

This day (Nov. 9, 2007), daddy made your hair go all crazy and you thought it was funny.

Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Charkee

Elise,

This is your Grandpa Leo Wallace on mom's side,

Your Grandma Julie Wallace,

and your favorite person in the world right now, your Aunt Charlee Wallace, who your mom calls Charkee and who you call Char, Char.

They absolutely adore you and spoil you rotten.
There were all so excited to come to the birthing center after you were born and see you!

Great Aunt Lil

Elise,

This is your great Aunt Lil on daddy's side of the family.

She loved you soooo much and was always excited when we took you to visit her.

You loved her little dog, Peaches.

Aunt Lil passed away in August of 2007.

You got to see her three days before her passing.

When she asked you what's in your diaper, you said, poop. So cute.

First Easter

Elise,

You had a great Easter.

A few days before Easter, we went to Walmart and the Easter Bunny was there. To my surprise, you reached out for him. He gave you some candy which mommy thought was funny because you were to little to eat what he gave you. You smiled so big for the camera!

The Easter Bunny brought you lots of things: a taggie book, weeble wobbles, some rattles, and lots of other things.

Mommy's Favorite Photo

Elise,

This is my favorite photo of you. You have such a cute smile!

I took you to Walmart to get your photo taken with a Care Bear. You smiled so cute when they handed the bear to you, but boy were you mad when they took it away. You were so mad they couldn't even take any more photos of you. But that's okay, because I was happy with this one.

Elise's First Daycare

Elise,

Starting in August of 2006, mommy had to go back to work and school. While she did that, you attended the Early Partnership School at Idaho State University. Your teachers were Stacee Dineen and Michelle Brown. You absolutely loved them and I'm pretty sure they loved you!

You made many friends while in their classroom. You also had a boyfriend. His name was Stuart. You followed him everywhere and you two were always the last ones to be picked up.

Here is a picture of the babies who went to your first daycare with you.
From Left to Right, You, Paige, Ava, Stuart, and Naomi.

Elise Story

Elise,
When you were a little over a year old, mommy was changing your diaper and you kept wiggling your feet making it very hard for me to change you. You were laughing and thought it was sooooooooo funny. Mommy was getting frustrated because I was in a hurry to get to work. I started counting down to five. I counted one, when all of a sudden you said two. Mommy and daddy both burst out laughing. It was soooooooooo cute. You sure know how to get out of trouble Little Lil!

Elise's First Birthday!

Elise,

I can't believe that you turned one already! How time flies!

You had a great birthday party, lots of your family and friends were there.

Your Aunt Geri came with your cousins, Kenzie, Buddy, and Sydney. Your Aunt Trina came with your cousin Bradyn, and Your Uncle Tod and Aunt Leah also came with your cousin Andon. Grandma and Grandpa Duck were also there, as well as Grandma and Grandpa Wallace, and your Aunt Charkee. Your friend, Candace Peterson also came. And so did your great Grandma and Grandpa Christenson.

When we brought out the cake for you to dive in, you just looked at it for a few mintues, and then you stuck your finger in it, and then you licked your finger. It took you a few mintues to decided that you liked it, but then you really enjoyed. It was soooooooo much fun!

You got lots of presents for your birthday.

You got a pop up toy, some clothes, some books, a wagon with blocks in it, lots of cards, and many many other things.

You had a fun birthday!

First Christmas

Elise,

Your very first Christmas was a lot of fun. Santa brought you a lot of toys, rattles, and teethers.

When you first woke up, you were tired and so we let you have a nap. And when you woke up, Grandma and Grandpa Wallace were here, our friends, Becki and Brian Guthrie, and your great grandpa Jack Fisher and his wife, Alice. They were having so much fun watching you! We all had a nice Christmas dinner together. You loved the food and you absolutely loved the wrapping paper. That was your favorite thing!

Meeting Santa Clause for the First Time:

When you met Santa Clause for the first time, you were sound asleep.

Elise's First Words

Elise,
Your first word, believe it or not, was poop. Your next to words were mama and dada.

Elise and Cereal

Elise,

The first time we offered you cereal you weren't too sure about it. You tried and spit it out all over me! lol. We waited and offered it to you again in a few days, and you absolutely loved it!

Elise's First Halloween

Elise,

For your first Halloween, you were dressed up as a bear for daycare. Mommy knew that you would spit up on that outfit and sure enough you did, so at night you were a pumpkin. Your dad was Dr. Evil and your mom was Little Red Riding Hood. Unfortunately, mommy's car broke this day so we were unable to go trick or treating to Grandma and Grandpa's in Blackfoot that night, but we took you another night and dressed you up in your costume again and let you go trick or treating to them.

Elise's Baby Blessing

Elise,

You were blessed on August 20, 2006. You were blessed by your father, Laurel James Krumenacker. Your Grandpa Leo was in the circle as well as your Grandpa Dave (grandpa Duck), as well as many other people. You were given a wonderful blessing and were blessed with so many things.

Elise's First Holiday

Elise,
Your first holiday was the fourth of July (2006).
Unfortunately, we really couldn't do much because you were so little. So mommy and daddy sat in the back of Grandma and Grandpa's jeep with you while we watched fireworks. We were protecting you from possibly being bitten by mosquitos.

You are Finally Here!

Elise,

You came into our lives on June 27, 2006, at 4 in the morning! Mommy had a rough time delivering you but you were worth every minute of pain! You are so precious and are such a blessing to us. You will never know how much mommy and daddy love you!
